Thank you Mom by James Norman Schnieder Thank you for the gift of my birth, for the pain and the mirth. Thank you for your special genes, and the sharing of your dreams. Thank you for my self worth. You struggled through your youth in search of justice and truth. You made your way through the toughest years, making ends meet with sweat and some mirrors, while from failure remaining aloof. Your laughter rings in my ears, after these long years. Your tenacity and guts I remember. Now that you are in your September, I remember the tears. Hardship marred your existence. I learned from your persistence . When I was troubled you told me that humor and time overcomes adversity. These words have bolstered my resistance. You taught me who I am and should be, and as your teaching is finally learned, the two approach facsimile. A free spirit you have been. I am proud to be your kin. Your love, sacrifice and joy of life, have inspired me through my strife; and by God and your preparation, I too will win. Thank you Mom. ~<O>~ Copyright (c) 1978 by James Norman Schnieder All rights reserved.
